Revolution Church began as a vision that God gave our former Lead Pastor Aaron Armstrong – in 2009. This vision was to start a church in Oakland, TN that would be a safe and relevant place for those who had given up on church and God. Therefore, in March of 2010 Revolution had it’s first worship gathering at West Junior High School.
West Junior High School served as the home and gathering place for Revolution for the first two years. In January of 2012 Revolution was approached by another church plant in town about sharing worship space. So, after much prayer and discussion, Revolution began a two year relationship with Holy Spirit Lutheran that allowed both churches to flourish and grow. Finally, in 2013 the former Oakland Deposit Bank and Village Hardware building in historic downtown Oakland became available for purchase. These buildings were just what the church needed and were in the perfect location for Revolution to be in the heart of the city for the heart of the city. So, on October 6, 2013 after quite a bit of sweat equity Revolution moved in its current worship and gathering space at 43 Main Street.
The story of Revolution is still not complete. It is being written a page at a time…one day at a time. We would love to invite you to join some Sunday for worship at 10:30AM.
